Members of the 4th session of the 35th Synod of the Evangelical Church of Czech Brethren accepted the following text, which is the result of the previous work of the Commission for the Preparation of a Conversation with Lesbians and Gays in the Church

The Synod's statement on relations with Muslims appeals to the members of the Evangelical Church of Czech Brethren to meet Muslims in their congregations and in their surroundings and to contribute to understanding and peaceful coexistence.

#ECCB   The ECCB is helping people fleeing the Russian invasion of Ukraine. The main thing is happening in the parishes.

#ECCB   Proceeds from the ECCB and Diaconia collections are allocated for aid in Ukraine and the Czech Republic.

#ECCB   The Evangelical Church of Czech Brethren has a new hymnal. We first sang from it during advent 2021, concluding a long and difficult process of its preparation.

There is hardly anybody in the Czech Republic who hasn’t heard of Cesta domů, a palliative care organisation. This year, it is celebrating twenty years since it was founded (spring 2001). Cesta domů offers hospice care at home, caring for terminally ill patients, but also helping the bereaved families.

#ECCB   The Weeks Against Racism were gaining popularity in Germany as early as the 1970s. First, an event of this sort would only take place at some dozens of venues, but eventually, more and more groups started to join in, seeing these events as an opportunity to voice a clear opinion against racism, and to be able to do something about it.
