Over the past few months, the Protestant Theological Faculty of Charles University has been involved in various ways and through its various bodies (the faculty leadership, the Academic Senate, and the unions) in protest activities of the faculties of humanities and social sciences. These faculties point to their excruciating financial situation and call for immediate corrective action.

One year since the beginning of the Russian invasion of Ukraine, the church’s leaders are calling for courage and perseverance in helping. Below, you can read the letter in full.

(ČB 12/2022) The war in Ukraine came unexpectedly. All the more reason to rejoice in the many ways we have managed to help as a church.

The covid-19 pandemic caused a significant change in how active members of Christian churches in the Czech Republic perceive and use technology to address their religious needs.

The Ecumenical Council of Churches in the Czech Republic organized a joint look back at the Church's assistance to Ukrainian refugees on 8 November 2022 in Prague. The aim of the meeting was to reflect on the past nine months of intensive assistance, to inspire each other and to share plans for the coming period. So far, churches have donated hundreds of millions of CZK, hosted thousands of refugees and report readiness for a possible next wave.
