We tend to treat people with intellectual disabilities like children. We neglect their physical and psychological development, which also includes sexuality. Diaconia West decided to go beyond the taboo and address this topic systematically.

An extraordinary place for people with Alzheimer's disease is growing in Nové Město na Moravě. Diaconia ECCB is building a modern home called „Pomněnka“ (forget-me-not) , which will offer safe and comfortable facilities for up to 30 clients. And also extraordinary is the way in which the building is being financed. A substantial part of it will be paid for by donors.
