The Evangelical Church is preparing the operation of two of its schools in the new building of the R

In connection with the construction of a new school building, the future Evangelical Campus Rajská, the Synodal Council of the Evangelical Church in January 2026 in Prague 

• decided to merge the "Bratrská" School - Church Primary School and the Evangelical Academy - Pedagogical Lyceum and Secondary Vocational School Prague and will apply for registration of the merged school as of September 1, 2027 under the name Evangelical Pedagogical Lyceum, Secondary Social Vocational School and Primary School; 

• announced a selection procedure in 2026 for the director of the merged Evangelical school in Prague, with the possibility of concluding an employment contract with the ECCB (as the founder) with the selected candidate until the time of formal commencement of the position (i.e. until September 1, 2027).

12 candidates applied for the selection procedure, 6 of whom advanced to the second round. After the second round, the selection committee unanimously recommended a single candidate to the Synod Council, with whom the Synod Council met at its meeting on May 5, 2026.

On May 19, 2026, the Synodal Council appointed Ms. PhDr. Andrea Cibulková, Ph.D., MBA as the director of the Evangelical Pedagogical Lyceum, Secondary Social Vocational School and Primary School for the period from September 1, 2027 to August 31, 2033.

The Synodal Council further authorized the central church office to negotiate an employment contract with A. Cibulková for the period before taking up the position of director, so that she could participate in the process of preparing the merger of both schools and operating in the new building of the Evangelical Campus Rajská. At the same time, a meeting was held between the appointed principal and the principals of both merged schools, and subsequent meetings are planned with the teaching teams and the school community.
