The Běleč camp was hit by very strong storms on Monday, August 17. One of the trees fell on the recently renovated Pellarka building and also damaged several parked cars. However, all participants are safe and well.
The incident occurred during extreme storms accompanied by strong gusty winds and torrential rains that hit the Pardubice and Hradec Králové regions. The falling tree caused property damage, primarily to the Pellarka clubhouse, and damaged several vehicles in the area.
The most important news, however, remains that no one was hurt. Participants in all ongoing stays are safe and the camp continues to operate.
Work is currently underway to clean up the aftermath of the incident so that the normal operation of the camp is not disrupted. The log cabin that served as the clubhouse for the Small Camp will be temporarily out of operation. However, it will also be renovated in the future.
The organisers thank everyone who is involved in repairing the damage and helping to ensure that the camp can continue to operate without major restrictions.
